The Americ ventilator corporation was established in 1980 as a wholly owned subsidiary of a large equipment rental company in Japan. Americ has been sourcing air ventilators in both the American and European markets. Some of the equipment sourced includes: Aerial Work Platforms, Industrial Vacuum Cleaners, Flood light fixtures, Concrete Plainer and Railroad maintenance equipment. They initiated manufacturing operations for the VAF series line of portable ventilators. It was during this time that AMERIC launched the first Plastic Portable Air Ventilator. It was AMERIC's innovative design that reduced maintenance and service costs when compared to the metal housing product, which could be easily damaged.
