The Bunyan Striker Gas BHG40 40ft Roller Screed System encounters the high areas of concrete sweeping the materials forward in a roll gathering ahead of the Striker Tube. The Striker Tube rests on form-work on temporary screed rails or on cold slabs. The spinning Striker Tube is trying to return itself back over the previous strike area. This easy return allows aggressive cuts into the delivery area then quickly running back out of the way. Placement functions are usually working directly in the delivery area in short aggressive bites. Screeding functions are longer runs with a smaller cut of finer material. The Bunyan Striker is powered by a hydraulic system. The Driver Handle couples to one end of the Striker Tube. This provides the operator control of the Striker Tube rotation. The Cold Handle is a pull device for the non-driven end of the tube. Operators manually pull the tube against the rotation drawing the tube over the slab surface.
